Stephen has been with the Talbots team for more then thirty years, after completing his degree at Sydney University in 1979 with a double major in Economics and Accounting/Tax Law. Stephen’s approach to work is to develop a close working relationship with clients and to get closer understanding of the clients’ business operation and their goals. The objective is to forge a close bond whereby clients feel at ease to contact their accountant and discuss their business openly, solving issues before they became a problem and allowing for better planning. With thirty plus years in the industry, and twenty two years as a partner he has a strong foundation in small business accounting, taxation and audit.
In his leisure time, Stephen loves sailing, power boats and fishing. His current greatest challenge is hockey, since resuming his hockey career three years ago at the veterans level for club side Gordon North Sydney club at which he is a life member Stephen has also represented at NSW level for the over 50’s , winning their division in Darwin in 2008, runners up in Melbourne in 2009 and hopefully once again returning with a medal from this years Australian Championships in Western Australian September 2010.
